Veganism has been growing in popularity recently with many high-profile celebrities, athletes, and musicians following plant-based diets. This has translated into an increase in vegan food options in restaurants and grocery stores all over the world.
Veganism’s increased presence around the globe has caused it to be discussed in sports media which includes major companies like Papa John’s which are influential in sports.
About Papa John’s
Just before closing in 1996, Papa John was getting help from the Small Business Administration; he had no idea that ten years later the company would be one of the top five take-out and delivery restaurants in North America.
The first restaurant was opened later that year in Jeffersonville, IN. It was 1,100 square feet and had no dining room. Customers either got their pizzas to go or eat them outside by the picnic tables we set up in the parking lot.
Papa John has been the CEO of Papa Johns since its opening in 1984. Over time he has created a company that provides jobs for over 16,000 employees and has established 456 locations worldwide. He continues to grow the company with the hope that one day it will be part of everyone’s lives because it is a company that focuses on the needs of the consumer. But in 1998, when we were opening our 50th store, things changed dramatically. That year Dave Eddy became Papa John’s President and began to implement many of the company’s business strategies.
The vegan menu was introduced in May of 2017. Since its creation, it has been a popular addition to the already existing menu of pizzas, sides, drinks, and desserts.
